The Board of Aldermen and all the citizens of Aberdeen join me in inviting you to "Discover Aberdeen."  We're very proud of our little city, which serves as the county seat of Monroe County. We are blessed with modern four-lane highways, the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, the 50,000 sq. ft. Senator Thad Cochran U.S. Bankruptcy Court House, the Monroe County Courthouse and Monroe County Chancery Building.

Aberdeen has churches of many faiths, which are the center of our culture and way of life. You can shop Aberdeen with your friends and neighbors in an easygoing, old-fashioned manner under the canopies in our downtown area, which is augmented by a number of businesses along  Mississippi Highway 145 North.

Our industrial citizens, including Georgia Gulf Chemicals and Vinyls, LLC, Holly Performance Parts and others, offer many good jobs and give a lot of support to our area. We invite you to come visit us and enjoy a city steeped in history but still offering a great way of life for our citizens and the visiting public.

                    You're invited to "Discover Aberdeen!"
